Art

The 4-H Art project is designed to allow members to experience a variety of art forms. The application of the elements and principles of design is the foundation that allows the inclusion of almost any medium or technique. Original Art division includes work that is entirely the creation of the member while Non-original Art division allows for the inclusion of some components that have been designed or created by others.

Cast Ceramics

The 4-H Cast Ceramics project gives members a basic knowledge of ceramics through clay products that are cast by pouring slip into plaster-of-Paris molds. Members may work with greenware from earthenware, stoneware, or porcelain clays. Finishes include glazes, underglazes, overglazes, unfired finishes, and one-of-a-kind finishes and designs. The finish sections may be taken in any order although experience with glazes and underglazes is suggested prior to using on-of-a-kind finishes and designs.
