Key Outcomes

Vision and mission statements tie local programming efforts to the outreach goals of the overall project. The components of these statements reflect local needs and assets and serve as the basis for locally determined goals and objectives. The vision statement expresses the long-term ideal for the implementation of the project. The mission statement identifies how this vision will be achieved. Jackson County 4-H has articulated the following statements.

Vision

Latino youth and families will be provided with 4-H educational programs that offer skills and knowledge enabling them to forge a successful future while living in a welcoming community environment that promotes and reciprocates cultural respect and value.

Mission

OSU Extension 4-H will guide and contribute to the positive development of Latino children and youth in continuous efforts that are characterized by quality and creativity, offered in supportive and welcoming learning environments, and thoughtfully designed and delivered to enhance personal and academic development.
