Marion County Demonstration SiteVision and MissionVision and mission statements were developed at the local level to tie local programming efforts to the central goal of Oregon Outreach demonstration sitesthat is, to expand the participation of Latino children and families in educational programming that focuses on the development of knowledge, skills, and competencies that will lead to roles as participating, productive, and caring adults. The components of these vision and mission statements reflect local needs and assets and serve as the basis for the program's educational goals and objectives. The vision statement expresses the long-term ideal for the Oregon Outreach program in Marion County; the mission identifies how the vision will be achieved. VisionTo provide Latino children and families with educational programs enhancing their individual, group, and community development and participation. MissionMotivating the Latino community to expand their knowledge, skills, and competencies through the development of culturally sensitive programs for children and families. |
