Vision and Mission

Goals/Objectives
Key Outcomes

Vision and mission statements were developed at the local level to tie local programming efforts to the outreach goals of the overall project. The components of these statements reflect local needs and assets and serve as the basis for locally determined goals and objectives. The vision statement expresses the long-term ideal for the local implementation of the project; the mission identifies how the vision will be achieved.

Vision

To provide environments where Latino youth are nurtured and supported in ways of enabling them to develop the skill, knowledge, and competencies that will lead to roles as participating, productive, and caring adults.

Mission

To use Oregon State University Extension resources in collaboration with local school districts and other educational institutions; business, religious, and Latino community leaders; local government agencies and elected officials; and parents and youth to design, implement, and evaluate culturally appropriate educational programs for Latino children and youth.
