A project designed for youth age 8-14 who stay home alone after school on a regular basis. The project gives 4-H clubs the chance to bring these youth together to teach them important skills and information for staying home alone. It also provides them with the opportunity to meet with other youth in similar situations and lets them share their experiences. Topics included in the six sessions include: expressing feelings, safety habits, daily routines, caring for brothers and sisters, having fun during free time, and nutritious snacks.
