The program will take place on Saturday, May 20th 2017. Students need to arrive at 8:30am at Chemeketa Community College, building 6, room 101 Lab, located at 4000 Lancaster Dr. NE, Salem, OR 97305.

4-H Outreach and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) have partnered up to offer an opportunity for High School students to be part of the new innovation “How to Apply for Government Jobs & Fishing Day” program. This program will enrich you with many internship opportunities and skills needed at the work place.  

The program is divided into two sections. During the first half of the day students will arrive at Chemeketa Community College located at 4000 Lancaster Dr NE, Salem, OR 97305 in Salem, OR. (Building 6, room 101 lab). BLM will provide important information regarding government Group Picturejobs, and how you can apply, and prepare yourself for these positions. You will get to meet professionals on the job and speak with them. Government jobs include areas in immigration, law, engineering among others. The second half of the day we will be heading to the 4H Center where we will learn how to fish. This is a great opportunity to learn fishing skills and bring what you learn to your family and community.

The program will take place on Saturday May 20th 2017. Students will need to be dropped off at 8:00am in Chemeketa, building 6, room 101 lab. In addition, students should be picked up at the 4H center by 6:00pm. (5390 4-H Road, NW, Salem, OR 97304)
