4-H Projects
World Citizenship in the 4-H Program
Youth and Young Adults In Action
All youth and young adults interested in participating in an international
experience through the Oregon 4-H Youth Development Program are eligible
to apply for scholarships available through the Oregon 4-H Foundation.
If the participant is awarded a scholarship, he/she must agree to fulfill
certain requirements that vary depending on the level of funding received.
- A short report on the participant's experience in their host country
is one of the requirements to receive a scholarship at the first level.
- A major article on one or more concepts learned through the program
is one of the requirements to receive a scholarship at the second level.
- A photo story is one of the requirements to receive a scholarship
at the third level.
While each participants experience is different, the stories and reports
they have written should help to provide an idea of what life was like
in their host country while they were there. This material also gives
insights into what each participant gained through the experience.
