Commemorating 100 Years of Oregon 4-H
In 2004 the Oregon 4-H Hall of Fame was established to recognize individuals
that have had a significant impact upon the 4-H Program and/or its
members and leaders. One hundred people were inducted in 2004 -
one person for each year 4-H had existed in the State of Oregon.

Future Hall of Fame Nominees
Eligibility: Anyone who has made a significant contribution to the development of 4-H or 4 H members in Oregon is eligible for this award. It is expected that nominees will be excellent role models in the areas of citizenship, leadership, career accomplishments and character. Current Extension faculty and staff are not eligible. Nominees may be living or deceased.
Nomination Process: County 4-H Programs, the State 4-H Leaders' Association, the State 4-H Office, 4-H Foundation, and OSUEA 4-H, may submit nominations. Up to seven individuals may be selected for inclusion in the Hall of Fame each year. Nominating units may use whatever process they deem appropriate to select their nominees. Incomplete nominations will not be considered.
Please provide a brief nomination statement (limited to no more than one typed page in addition to cover page), using the following points as a guideline:
- Nominee's significant contributions to 4-H. Be as specific as possible.
- Breadth or depth of contribution
- Role played (4-H member, club leader, project leader, fair superintendent, Extension faculty/staff, advisory board, Foundation Board, other volunteer, 4-H supporter, etc.)
- Length of commitment and specific years involved, if known
- Impact on 4-H, either upon individuals or the entire program
Other factors as appropriate:
- Impact on community
- Major career accomplishments
- In what ways has the nominee been recognized, such as other awards, etc
- Financial contributions to 4-H
Nominations are Due to the State Office by June 30. Honorees will be recognized in December, during the OSU Extension Community Engagement Recognition banquet.
