Community Emergency Response Team training

Ready Check logoWith the continuing increase in natural disasters and the high probability of a major earthquake impacting our communities, we highly suggest all Extension Professionals have the basic emergency preparedness and response training. This training is based off the Citizen Corp/Ready.gov Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training that includes information on disaster/hazard preparedness and basic disaster response; including fire safety, light search and rescue, psychology, disaster medical operations, and team organization.

This is excellent professional development opportunity for all, but ESPECIALLY for those that camp as it goes along with the new Oregon 4-H Camp Risk Management workbook we will be releasing this fall. It will be taught by Lynette Black and guest speakers.
